Tuolumne County Schools Partner with KKBN for “Pledge Across Tuolumne”

Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools (TCSOS) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with KKBN 93.5 FM to launch the “Pledge Across Tuolumne” initiative. This project aims to bring the voices of our county’s students to the airwaves, celebrating patriotism and community pride each week.

About the Partnership

Starting this month, classrooms from schools across Tuolumne County will have the unique opportunity to lead the Pledge of Allegiance on live radio. Each week, a different classroom will be featured on KKBN 93.5 FM, airing every Friday morning at 7:50 AM. This partnership not only highlights the importance of civic pride but also provides a platform for our students to be recognized for their contributions to the community.

“We are thrilled to partner with KKBN on this initiative,” said Zack Abernathy, the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools. “The Pledge of Allegiance is a cornerstone of our nation’s values, and giving our students the chance to lead it on such a broad platform helps foster a sense of responsibility and unity among them.”

How It Works

Each participating school selects a classroom to record their rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance. These recordings are then aired on KKBN 93.5 FM as part of the station’s morning lineup. In addition to the live broadcast, each week’s Pledge will be archived on the TCSOS website, allowing families and community members to listen at their convenience.

The project is designed to rotate through different schools and grade levels, ensuring broad participation across the county. This not only allows students from various backgrounds to be represented but also strengthens the bond between our schools and the wider community.
