Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – A Legacy of Equality and Education

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our programs and offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th.

In Honor of MLK Day

Our offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This day is an opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s contributions to civil rights, justice, and education. As a national holiday, it is also a call to action to engage in community service, learning, and acts of kindness.

Legacy of Education and Unity

Dr. King believed education was a powerful tool for equality, empowering individuals and building bridges across communities. He once said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.”

At TCSOS, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by promoting equity in education and providing resources for educators, students, and families to learn about his life, his work, and his vision for justice.
