Fingerprinting

Our Live Scan Fingerprinting services electronically capture and transmit rolled fingerprints directly to the State Department of Justice. This secure method typically results in a response within three to five working days, with the requesting agency receiving the applicant’s background data electronically. Please note that the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools only receives applicant data for TCSOS employee candidates. To complete your fingerprinting process, follow these three steps:

Step 1: Obtain the Request for Live Scan Service Form

Before scheduling your Live Scan appointment, you must obtain the “Request for Live Scan Service” form from the organization requesting your fingerprints. This form contains essential information that must be provided during your fingerprinting appointment. Without this form, the fingerprinting process cannot be completed.

Step 2: Schedule Your Appointment

Once you have the “Request for Live Scan Service” form, you can schedule your fingerprinting appointment through our Appointment Scheduler. Select a convenient time for your appointment once you have your “Request for Live Scan Service” form ready. This section will guide you directly to the scheduling page.

Step 3: Prepare for Your Appointment

Before heading to your Live Scan appointment, ensure you have everything you need. Bring the completed “Request for Live Scan Service” form, a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport), and payment for the fingerprinting service. Arrive for your appointment a few minutes early to ensure you have time to complete any additional paperwork.
