Developer Fees

Developer

Fees

In partnership with Tuolumne County, TCSOS collects developer fees for school districts that levy fees to finance school building construction.

On January 1, 1987, AB 2926 enacted Government Code sections 65995 and 53080, which authorizes school districts to impose a developer fee on new construction to pay their required share of school building construction. The fee is charged based on the square footage of residential and commercial/industrial buildings constructed within the district boundaries. Below are the district fee schedules, including the elementary and high school districts’ rates.
