On March 7, 2025, the stage at Sonora High School Auditorium came alive with the vibrant sounds of young musicians from across Tuolumne County. In a celebration of musical excellence and community spirit, the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools, in collaboration with the Tuolumne County Music Educators’ Association (TCMEA), proudly hosted the 30th Annual Honor Music Festival.
Honoring the Legacy of Bruce Paxton
This year’s festival carried a special dedication to Bruce Paxton, a beloved music educator who played an instrumental role in establishing this event. Since its inception in 1955, the festival has honored the incredible work of music educators and their students, bringing together young performers to celebrate their passion for music.
