All TK–12 students in Tuolumne County are invited to let their creativity shine in the School Attendance Poster Design Contest! This fun, county-wide competition centers on one key message:
Attendance Matters!
Use your original artwork to illustrate why it’s important to show up to school every day—how it impacts your future, your friendships, and our community.
Important Details
- Who Can Enter: All TK–12 students in Tuolumne County
- Theme: “Attendance Matters!”
- Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM
- Prizes:
- 1st Place: $50 Gift Card
- 2nd Place: $35 Gift Card
- 3rd Place: $25 Gift Card
- Winners Announced: February 7, 2025, on the TCSOS website
How to Submit
- Create Your Poster
- Use traditional art mediums (e.g., markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint).
- Size must be between A4 (8.5″x 11″) and A3 (11″x 17″).
- Label the Back
- Clearly write your full name, grade, teacher, and school on the back of your poster (no personal info on the front).
- Drop Off Your Entry
- You can turn in your poster to your school office or bring it directly to TCSOS at 175 Fairview Lane, Sonora.
- Only one (1) entry per student.
- Check for Accuracy
- Make sure there are no spelling errors; posters with misspellings will be disqualified.
- Ensure your artwork doesn’t include violent imagery, brand names, or copyrighted images (like cartoon or TV characters).
Judging Criteria
- Creativity: Original and imaginative ideas
- Visual Impact: How eye-catching and neat the poster is
- Theme Connection: How well the poster reflects “Attendance Matters!”

A: Sorry, each student may submit only one entry.
Q: Do I get my artwork back?
A: Yes, all posters will be returned to students after judging.
