At TCSOS, we believe math is more than just numbers—it’s about creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and a growth mindset. That’s why we’re excited to bring you The Week of Inspirational Math (WIM), an innovative program designed to inspire students and educators alike.
What is WIM? The Week of Inspirational Math offers a series of engaging lessons and activities that encourage students to explore math concepts in a new and exciting way. Developed by Jo Boaler and her team at Stanford University, WIM promotes a positive attitude toward math, helping students overcome the fear of making mistakes and understand that everyone can be a “math person.”
Who Can Participate? WIM is for everyone! Whether you’re a student, teacher, or parent, there’s something for you. The activities are designed for all grade levels, making math accessible and fun for everyone involved.
Why Participate?
- Foster a Growth Mindset: WIM challenges the traditional approach to math education by encouraging a growth mindset, where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn and grow.
- Engage with Creative Lessons: Each day of WIM features unique lessons that emphasize collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Build Confidence: Students will discover that math can be enjoyable and that they are capable of more than they ever imagined.
How to Get Involved: Join us in celebrating The Week of Inspirational Math! Visit our WIM page for more information, and let’s make math an adventure for everyone!
